Important news for marketers. TikTok has made an announcement related their new ads policy where they have mentioned that marketers are no longer allowed to market a certain type of products from various industries.
TikTok has placed limitation on the following types of ads.
1) Weight Loss Ads
You are no longer allowed to run ads for weight loss supplements and dieting etc. Other than this, ads promoting negative body image would also be reviewed closely and can be taken down if felt necessary.
2) Food-Related Ads
No matter what your industry is, if your product promotes a negative relationship with food, you ad is likely to be taken down.
Other than this, TikTok has partnered with NEDA - National Eating Disorder Association in order to promote healthy eating habits.
