As email marketing / newsletters marketing is getting bigger these days, it is high time to learn about the in-depth strategies and tricks to get the best of email marketing. If you haven't yet built a newsletter for your audience, you are missing a lot, so the first thing that I would suggest is to go and build a newsletter first. Having a newsletter is like having your own goldmine, it gets valuable with every passing day. If you are the one who already have built an email list, below quick tips will help you increase your email engagements.

You might have observed that many email marketing professionals just design a standard email and sent it to everyone, and as a matter of fact, many won't even relate to that email, so why would they even engage with the email?

The best way?

Segment your list:

- High AOV Customers
- Discount Customers
- New Product Customers
- Frequent Buyers
- VIP Customers
- Abandoned Checkout
- Abandoned Cart
- Viewed Product(s)

Send these segments specialized emails based on their level of awareness. Avoid sending standard emails, the more standard and irrelevant emails you sent, the more your subscribers will start avoiding your emails. Follow this tip for your next 4 newsletters then compare these 4 newsletters with the engagement of your old 4 newsletters to see the magic.

Hi Zoe. So you have personally found that your list is 3x more profitable from implementing this strategy? When did you make the change from one bulk email? What niche and how big is the list that you are sending to?

Do any of you do this HIGHER UP in the funnel, like on the landing page? At least for lead generation sites I would want to have them "sort themselves out" by doing a good quiz that identifies urgency, probable spend etc.

Have you done this yourself and would you care to share your data and results here?

I have been using this audience-listing strategy earlier in my Google Ads where certain ads were shown to people who left the site at certain pages, that tactic worked pretty very well. I am testing the same with emails now after organizing audience lists, will definitely be sharing results and performance of important KPIs.

In my initial tests, open rate has increased around 3X, testing the entire funnel to check its impact on other KPIs. So far, engagement is great.
