I needed to accept an invitation to a page today and it was getting stuck so badly every now and then that I got fed up of it and started trying finding some solution of it. Earlier Facebook was giving an option to switch back to old layout but in Sep they removed that option. Anyhow, I started looking for a solution and found out one. A Google Chrome extension that reverts back to old layout.
When you add this extension to your Chrome, it changes the user-agent and creates one that isn't supported by Facebook's new layout so Facebook loads the old layout. It really worked well for me and I was able to work peacefully.
