Mark Zutterburg recently held his Facebook F8 Summit in San Jose California on April 18th and had released some major news on some of the new developments we will be seeing in Facebook's future. One of them being Augumented Reality which he explains in his video.
Other Keynotes to take away from this are:
Facebook Spaces - This app will be released in beta on Tuesday. This basically gives users the ability to use VR and chat with their friends in a virtual world. Facebook recently acquired VR technology company Oculus and this will fit into their plans nicely.
New Messenger Features - There will be more production in the use of icons, expressions, etc. The biggest change will be that Facebook is going to allow third party apps to integrate with messenger so they can communicate with more then one person at a time.
Developer Circles - This will be basically a new app where developers can post on forums, communicate with each other, whether it be support or other topics of interest.
