A few days ago, Google submitted a patent application that is directly related to Online Marketing, specifically E-Commerce Ads. Google filed a patent application for creating shoppable images that merchants can use to create ads for their products.
Assume you search for "Office Furniture". Google will display images that products related to search query. According to their patent application, Google's idea is to read the image's elements and display ads beside each element. For example, if the image has chair, table, couch in it, shoppable ads attached to the relevant products will be displayed. If a marketer wants to advertise some products for this or any other search term, Google will find images that has relevant products, bringing new marketing opportunities.
Pretty cool feature if we see it as a marketer.
