I have seen many people using this offer on PPV...I think as the book suggests though it is probably just so you can later find targets to buy direct traffic...since PPV is only capturing a small piece of the actual main sites full audience...

ICM is a great offer! New or experienced pubs should be able to get traction on this offer with some work. Yes PPV is a good way to start but it in my opinion should be used as a stepping stone towards direct banner buys.
